For more than a decade, Deya Dova has travelled to some of the world’s most extraordinary natural landscapes and Earth energy centres, listening deeply to the unique presence of each place before she sings a single note.
From ancient stone circles and sacred mountains to vast deserts, glacial lakes and rainforest sanctuaries, every journey begins in the same way — with stillness, reverence, curiosity and a willingness to listen.
Rather than composing music about these places, Deya enters into relationship with them.
The songs emerge through time spent walking the land, sitting in silence and dissolving with nature. Allowing each place to reveal its own unique voice and frequency.
Deya then spontaneously sings in response to the energy, frequency and vibration of each location. The song is recorded in the moment, live in nature with a portable recording set up – laptop, microphone, headphones.
Each album opens a doorway into a different landscape, a different story and a different way of experiencing our relationship with the living Earth.

I am Deya Dova. I am a songwoman, music producer, international touring artist, mother & grandmother.
I grew up in the remote Nullarbor desert region of South Australia. I spent my childhood in the vast open landscape connecting with the land. Nature has always been my playground and my temple. I taught myself to sing sitting around the fire under 360 degree desert starscapes.
Currently, when I am not on tour, I live in the Byron Bay area on the East coast of Australia, with my husband and co producer, Hamilton Barnett, and our 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
How Did The Journey Begin?
The Planetary Grid Music project began quite organically. The places literally called me in waking dreams and visions like bleeps on a radar going off in my consciousness. I became intrigued with the connection between these sites which lead to my exploration and fascination with the Earth’s energylines or Planetary Grid – the Earth’s energetic field
It was a natural process to record and film the music as I knew I had to share the incredible energy and signature frequencies of these special places with the world.
What Language Are You Singing?
I sing in the language of my soul from a place of deep listening and reverence. Singing in direct response to the Earth and Cosmos. Using melodic and rhythmic elements of song without the constraining concept of language. To translate pure feeling and energy into the universal language of music and sound.
We All Belong Here
From my experience, when we bring our awareness to the Earth with reverence, respect and deep listening, something begins to shift within us. We become more present. More connected. More attuned to the harmony that already exists beneath the noise of the world.
This awareness can become a quiet counterbalance to the disconnection, conflict and destruction we see around us. It allows us to contribute our presence to the peace and coherence within the greater planetary field.
